Brokers Bar is a welcoming establishment in the heart of Southwark, London, known for its relaxed setting and close-knit community. Alongside day-to-day service, we regularly host fundraising events that make a meaningful difference.

We are seeking a mature, reliable, and proactive professional to join our small team. This role requires someone with initiative, who is comfortable working independently and committed to providing consistently high standards of service.

Key Responsibilities

Provide a warm and professional welcome to all guests. Manage daily operations, including stock control, till use, reservations, and opening/closing procedures. Take initiative in maintaining smooth operations, using problem-solving skills and independent judgment. Assist in organising and running charitable and community events, particularly our fundraising work with Combat Stress. Ensure the bar remains a clean, organised, and welcoming space.
Requirements

5-8 years' hospitality or events experience in a professional setting (bar, restaurant, or similar). Proven maturity, reliability, and ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Strong communication and customer service skills. Demonstrated initiative and problem-solving in previous roles. Genuine interest in contributing to charitable initiatives and community values. Seeking a stable, long-term role (not suitable for short-term applicants).
