Job Overview

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Barista to join our vibrant team. As a Barista, you will play a crucial role in creating a welcoming atmosphere for our customers while preparing high-quality beverages and food items as well as readying pottery for customers. You will be responsible for ensuring that every customer receives exceptional service and enjoys their experience at our establishment.

Responsibilities

Prepare and serve a variety of hot and cold beverages, including coffee, tea, and specialty drinks. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the workspace, including equipment and utensils. Assist with food preparation, ensuring adherence to food safety standards. Manage time effectively to ensure timely service during peak hours. Engage with customers, providing recommendations and taking orders accurately. Handle cash transactions and maintain accurate records of sales. Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations and customer satisfaction. Uphold the highest standards of hygiene and cleanliness in compliance with health regulations.

Experience

Previous experience in a cafe or food service environment is preferred but not essential. Basic maths skills for handling cash transactions and making change. Strong time management skills to efficiently handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. Understanding of food safety practices is advantageous. A willingness to learn about coffee preparation techniques and menu offerings is essential.

Required hours are Monday and Tuesday, 9am until 5.30pm with some flexibility over closing times.
