Brokerfy Recruitment is delighted to be working in partnership with a leading national legal services provider to appoint two experienced Barristers to join their growing in-house advocacy team. This is a superb opportunity for legal professionals with a strong background in personal injury or wider civil litigation to work on high-quality claimant matters across England and Wales. The role offers flexibility, courtroom variety, and the chance to develop within a collaborative, modern legal team.
Successful candidates will join a supportive and agile working environment with access to both fast-track and multi-track cases, excellent resources, and a national client base.
Key Responsibilities
Provide high-quality courtroom representation in trials, CCMCs, CMCs, interim hearings, IAHs, Stage 3 portal hearings, and other advocacy matters.
Undertake legal drafting, including pleadings, advices (formal and informal), and skeleton arguments.
Remain up to date with the Civil Procedure Rules, case law, and developments in legislation.
Offer guidance and support to less experienced advocates in relation to drafting and advocacy preparation.
Ensure all advocacy work is undertaken to a consistently high standard.
Work independently to manage a varied caseload, primarily fast-track with opportunities in multi-track.
Travel across England and Wales, including overnight stays where required.
Person Specification
Qualified Barrister with a current practising certificate.
Advocacy experience in claimant personal injury or civil litigation.
Excellent presentation, communication, and drafting skills.
Sound knowledge of the Civil Procedure Rules and litigation process.
Confident, resilient, and able to work well under pressure to meet court deadlines.
Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks independently.
Able to demonstrate discretion, professionalism, and a high level of confidentiality.
Competent IT skills (Microsoft Office essential; experience with Proclaim CMS advantageous).
Own vehicle preferred (travel expenses reimbursed).
