Job Summary:
As a Bartender, you'll be a key part of the team, providing a friendly and knowledgeable service to our guests. You'll serve an ever-changing lineup of quality beers, ales, and wines, support our live music nights, and help maintain a clean, relaxed, and sociable environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Customer Service:
Provide a warm and engaging welcome, serve drinks efficiently, and ensure guests feel comfortable and well-looked after.
Drink Service:
Pour cask ales via hand-pull, serve craft beers with proper technique, and handle wine service confidently.
Product Knowledge:
Stay up-to-date on our drinks menu, including tasting notes and brewing methods; make recommendations to customers.
Live Music Support:
Help prepare the bar and environment for live music events (e.g., clearing space, adjusting lighting, managing volume).
Cellar Work:
Assist with tapping and maintaining cask/keg lines, ensuring top quality and freshness.
Cleanliness & Hygiene:
Maintain a clean bar, follow health & safety procedures, and ensure all equipment is well cared for.
Stock Monitoring:
Replenish stock, rotate inventory, and inform management of low items.
Community Vibe:
Contribute to our relaxed and sociable space by encouraging conversation and supporting a positive experience for all.
Requirements:
Previous bar experience ideally, preferably in a craft beer or real ale setting.
Friendly, confident, and customer-focused approach.
Comfortable working during live music evenings and managing increased footfall.
Basic knowledge of beer and wine (training available).
Ability to work evenings and weekends as required.
Must be 18 or older (due to licensing laws).
Preferred Skills:
Experience with real ale/cask handling.
Interest in or knowledge of live music events.
Cellar management or Cask Marque training.
Personal License (advantageous but not required).

Pay: 10.29-12.50 per hour
