Duties
Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to standard recipes and customer preferences.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the bar area, ensuring all equipment and utensils are properly sanitised.
Engage with customers, taking orders, providing recommendations, and ensuring their needs are met promptly.
Monitor customer behaviour and consumption of alcohol, adhering to responsible serving practices.
Handle cash transactions accurately and efficiently, ensuring all payments are processed correctly.
Collaborate with kitchen staff to coordinate food and beverage service effectively.
Assist in inventory management by tracking stock levels and reporting any shortages or discrepancies.
Skills
Previous experience in a restaurant or hospitality setting is highly desirable.
Strong bartending skills with knowledge of drink recipes and mixing techniques.
Basic maths skills for handling cash transactions and calculating bills accurately.
Understanding of food safety regulations to ensure compliance in beverage preparation.
Excellent time management skills to handle busy service periods efficiently.
A friendly demeanour with the ability to help create a positive atmosphere for guests.
