Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Bartender to join our team, we are a busy pub specialising in cask and whiskey.

As a Bartender in The Vines, you will be responsible for creating a welcoming atmosphere for our guests while serving high-quality beverages and providing exceptional customer service.

Christmas availability is a requirement.

Responsibilities

Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to standard recipes and guest preferences. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the bar area, ensuring all equipment is in good working order. Engage with customers, taking orders and providing recommendations based on their preferences. Collaborate with other staff members to ensure smooth operation of the bar. Handle cash transactions accurately, ensuring correct change is given and maintaining a balanced till. Monitor inventory levels, restocking supplies as needed, and reporting any shortages to management. Adhere to all food safety regulations and responsible serving guidelines to promote a safe environment for guests.

Requirements

Previous experience in a restaurant or bar setting is preferred but not essential; training will be provided. Strong knowledge of basic maths for handling cash transactions effectively. Excellent bartending skills with the ability to create a variety of cocktails and beverages is preferred. Exceptional time management skills to handle busy shifts efficiently while maintaining quality service. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, to engage positively with guests. Understanding of food safety practices and commitment to maintaining hygiene standards in the workplace. Christmas availability.
