The Mayfair Pub & Kitchen in Newcastle City Centre has a number of openings for experienced Bartenders.

You will need to have an friendly, outgoing & happy approach to working whist multi tasking and prioritizing work in a fast paced city centre bar that has become the go to bar for Newcastle home games and for anyone looking to enjoy a party, be it a midweek karaoke or a big weekend out. We are open until 2am on the weekends to ensure the party crowd gets a full weekend of fun.

As an Experienced Bartender, you will be essential in delivering outstanding customer service and creating a welcoming atmosphere for our patrons. Your core skills in bartending and serving will enable you to craft exceptional drinks while ensuring a smooth flow of service. With a strong emphasis on hospitality and food safety, you will maintain high standards in food handling and cleanliness. Your relevant skills in basic math and time management will support efficient order processing and inventory management. Duties:
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages to customers
- Take customer orders and provide recommendations based on their preferences
- Maintain a clean and organised bar area
- Monitor customer behaviour and ensure responsible alcohol consumption
- Interact with customers in a friendly and professional manner
- Prepare garnishes for drinks and ensure proper presentation
- Restock bar inventory and supplies as needed

- Check identification of customers to verify age requirements for purchase of alcohol
- Collect payment from customers and provide accurate change

Requirements:
- Previous experience as a bartender is essential (6 months minimum)
- Knowledge of hospitality, catering, food service.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage with a diverse clientele
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
- Basic knowledge of food handling and safety regulations
- Familiarity with cocktail making is desirable
