The Role

We're looking for a skilled and reliable

Bartender / Shift Leader

to work alongside and support our Lead Bartender in the day-to-day running of the bar.
You'll take responsibility for the bar during service, ensuring speed, consistency, and guest satisfaction, while maintaining the standards set by the Lead Bartender.
This is a hands-on role suited to someone experienced, confident, and eager to grow within a small independent venue.

Key Responsibilities

Lead bar service during shifts, upholding JoJo's drink quality and presentation standards. Work closely with the Lead Bartender to deliver smooth, efficient service. Open and close the venue with professionalism and attention to detail. Maintain a clean, well-organised, and properly stocked bar. Coordinate with the Front-of-House Lead to keep service seamless. Support training and mentoring of junior staff where required. Contribute ideas for cocktails, menu refinements, and service improvements.

About You

Minimum 1-2 years' bartending experience, including cocktail service. Reliable, professional, and positive approach to hospitality. Calm and composed under pressure, with a focus on detail. Excellent communication and teamwork skills. Enthusiastic about developing within a growing, independent business.

Hours & Compensation

30-40 hours per week (evenings and weekends). 13.00-13.50 per hour, plus tips. Staff meals and drinks during shift, regular team socials, and opportunities for development.
