Responsibilities

Prepare and serve a variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to established recipes and customer preferences. Maintain an organised bar area, ensuring cleanliness and adherence to food safety standards. Engage with customers, providing friendly and knowledgeable service while taking orders and offering recommendations. Handle cash transactions accurately and efficiently, ensuring all orders are processed correctly. Monitor inventory levels of drinks and supplies, assisting with stock management as needed. Collaborate with kitchen staff and other team members to ensure smooth operations during busy periods. Uphold responsible serving practices by checking identification for age verification when necessary.

Skills

Proven experience in bartending or a similar role within the restaurant industry is preferred. Strong time management skills to handle multiple orders efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Excellent hospitality skills with the ability to create a welcoming atmosphere for guests. Basic maths skills for handling cash transactions and calculating drink prices accurately. Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in beverage preparation. A willingness to help colleagues and contribute positively to the team dynamic.
