Job Summary


We are seeking a dynamic and experienced

Bar/Server Duty Manager

to oversee daily operations in a vibrant hospitality environment. This leadership role combines excellent customer service, team management, and operational oversight within a dining and bar setting. The ideal candidate will possess strong food and beverage knowledge, exceptional organizational skills, and a passion for delivering memorable guest experiences. As a Duty Manager, you will ensure smooth service flow, uphold food safety standards, and support staff to achieve high performance levels.

Responsibilities



Supervise and coordinate front-of-house staff including servers, bartenders, hosts/hostesses, and bussers to ensure efficient service delivery. Oversee food and beverage service, ensuring adherence to quality standards and guest satisfaction. Manage POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, and OpenTable for reservations, ordering, and billing processes. Handle guest inquiries, resolve complaints promptly, and foster positive guest relations to promote repeat business. Assist with food handling, sanitation, and safety protocols to maintain compliance with health regulations. Support sales initiatives through upselling techniques and suggestive selling to maximize revenue. Oversee cash handling procedures including cashiering duties and reconciliation at shift end. Ensure cleanliness and sanitation of the bar area, dining spaces, and kitchen as per food safety standards. Manage inventory levels of beverages and supplies; coordinate with vendors as needed. Lead by example in hospitality excellence; promote teamwork and a positive work environment. Perform opening and closing duties; assist with training new staff members on POS systems like Micros or Aloha POS. Maintain knowledge of menu items including food preparation details for effective guest communication.

Qualifications



Proven experience in food service or restaurant management; fine dining or nightclub experience is preferred. Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, and OpenTable is highly desirable. Strong background in customer service, guest relations, and hospitality operations. Excellent time management skills with the ability to multitask efficiently during busy periods. Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and basic math for cash handling. Previous experience in serving, bartending, or host/host roles is advantageous. Ability to lead a team effectively while maintaining professionalism under pressure. Strong communication skills with an emphasis on guest satisfaction and team collaboration. Job Type: Part-time

Pay: From 13.00 per hour
