Job Description

We are looking for a Bathroom & Kitchen Sales Advisor to work in our Bathroom & Kitchen Showroom in Lancing, helping to take the showroom forward and developing the customer base, both Trade and Retail. The Showroom is part of our Lancing Ironmongery and Hardware store and the successful candidate will be working with the Bathroom & Kitchen Showroom Manager and the rest of the branch team.

Responsibilities and Duties

Maximising sales, showcasing product knowledge and building long standing relationships with customers. This will include designing of bathrooms and Kitchens through our Articad software and discussing this with customers as part of the sales process Sourcing new business, while developing existing customers, making sure we deliver the high quality customer service Gardner and Scardifield strives to always achieve and quotes are always followed up with Helping to make sure our offering is as attractive to Retail and Trade customers, realising full potential of all customer interactions and build strong, effective relationships with customers and at times, suppliers Undertaking any tasks required at the branch, including but not exhaustively, ordering and dealing with suppliers and stock management, ensuring procedures are followed Assisting with ensuring the showroom is kept to a high standard and is properly maintained Maintain a high standard of health and safety and housekeeping in the branch Work closely with other branches to ensure Gardner and Scardifield can provide a complete service to all customers Assist with any tasks required by the wider branch, including serving on the Sales Counter in the shop and our plumbing department

What are we looking for?

Previous experience of working and selling in a showroom environment, with a strong preference for Bathroom or Kitchen showroom experience Experience with using Articad or a similar CAD design software Positive, can-do attitude and a willingness to support and work with your colleagues Ability to take responsibility Excellent sales and customer service skills Great communication and people skills Computer literate
