Before and After School Club Supervisor - Frenchay Out of School Club

OOSC Out Of School Clubs provide Ofsted registered breakfast, after school and holiday clubs in several schools across South Gloucestershire. We are committed to providing high quality childcare where children are safe, active and have fun!

We have an opportunity for a reliable Before & After School Club Supervisor to work alongside our club managers and dedicated team of Play Workers. The position is based at our popular and well-regarded Frenchay Out of School Club (Breakfast Club and After School Club). The club has recently received an excellent Ofsted inspection and is looking to expand in numbers.

Location: The OOSC Club Room and School Hall at Frenchay Primary School, Alexander Road, Frenchay, Bristol, BS16 1UZ. On-site part-time term-time hours: 7.30am to 9.00am and 3.00pm to 6.10pm Monday to Friday plus off-site administration hours (total 26 hours per week). Flexibility on agreed working start time / days, if required. Job share considered. Optional additional Holiday Club hours may be available as overtime in the school holidays at the OOSC Holiday Club based at St Helen's Primary School in Alveston. Pay Rate: Very attractive rate of pay, starting from 15,860 per annum, dependent on qualifications and experience. Free own child places may be offered for staff children who attend Frenchay Primary School Start Date: from September 2025, or earlier if available.

Responsibilities:

The successful applicant will join our team in providing safe, high-quality and stimulating out of school care for children of primary school age, in a play-based setting, and will work closely with the OOSC management/admin team (OOSC Area Manager and Club Owner) to continue to develop this successful Ofsted-registered provision. The role will include creating fun and varied activities, staff management, safeguarding and child protection, dealing with any issues that may arise, interacting with the children, parents and professionals; and ensuring the club is a safe, fun and Ofsted-compliant play-based setting.

Requirements

We are looking for a person who is sensitive to the needs of the children in our care and able to provide supervision to our friendly team, maintaining OOSC values and our excellent relationships with the parents/carers, the school and community. Above all, a Before & After School Club Supervisor must be caring, friendly and approachable. Qualifications: Minimum Level 2 relevant qualification, plus experience in a primary school setting and knowledge of the EYFS would be beneficial but not essential. Experience of working in a supervisory capacity is also helpful but not essential. Paediatric First Aid, Safeguarding and Food Hygiene training will be provided as appropriate.
