About the role:
We are looking for an enthusiastic play worker with a NVQ level 3 in childcare or equivalent qualification to join our well-established team. This role will involve supporting children in the Before and After school club, supervising and joining in their play. The successful post holder will be responsible for the day to day running of the club and act as named person for safeguarding and first aid.
The successful candidates will:
Demonstrate a commitment to our school ethos and values
Have a passion for promoting and supporting children's learning and wellbeing
Practical knowledge of child development and child related issues.
Have an awareness of the play principles.
Be able to support the learning and wellbeing of children of different ages across school as required
Be able to relate well to both children and adults and be able to work well in a team
Duties will include planning activities, maintaining records and implementing policies, providing snacks and drinks for children, liaising with parents and joining in with children's play.
