Aspira Education are recruiting a Behaviour Support Assistant to work with a pupil on a 1-1 basis in a primary school setting in Gainsborough, supporting a learner with visual impairment and communication difficulties.

This is a 5 day per week placement working 8.30am - 3.30pm. Please do not apply if you cannot commit to these hours Mon-Friday.

About the Role



As a Behaviour Support Assistant you will:

Support a pupil on a 1-1 basis where you will be helping them regulate emotions and re-engage with learning. Build strong, trusting relationships through empathy, patience, and consistency. Collaborate with teachers, SENCOs, and pastoral staff to maintain safe and structured classroom routines. Help pupils develop resilience, confidence, and a sense of achievement.
You'll work in an inclusive school environment where everyday brings new opportunities to make a real difference.

What We're Looking For



We welcome applicants from backgrounds such as:

Youth work, social care, residential care, coaching, or mentoring. Behavioural support, SEMH provision, or outreach work. Supporting vulnerable young people in education or community settings.
You don't need formal teaching qualifications or prior school experience, just the ability to stay calm under pressure, build relationships, and believe in every child's potential.

All Applicants Must Have



The right to work in the UK. A clear fully Enhanced DBS (or be willing to apply through Aspira Education). Two recent references. A willingness to complete free online safeguarding training provided by Aspira Education.

What You'll Get



16.50 per hour, paid weekly Free CPD-accredited training through the Aspira Training Academy. Coaching in trauma-informed practice and behaviour management. Ongoing support from an experienced, education-focused team.
