Job Description

Justteachers are actively seeking SEN TA'S to work within an SEMH School based in Shipley. As a behaviour support mentor you will be supporting students within an SEMH School that caters for students with behaviour needs needs. The role is to start September 2025.

The post is offered with a daily rate of

85 - 95 per day

working 8.30am - 3:30pm Monday to Friday. The role offers an exciting opportunity to join a SEMH school with excellent facilities and a supportive leadership team.

The successful candidate will have but not essential experience working with children in a SEN/SEMH school or nursery setting. You may also have experience working with children or adults with complex needs in a care setting or if you have experience working with SEN, SEMH students, support work, pastoral work or any kind of work which relates to supporting the progress of vulnerable children or young people then we would like to hear from you!

Ideally candidates will:

Are comfortable working in challenging and sometimes difficult environments

Are passionate about the development and learning of students with SEMH and want to make a difference

Work well with teachers as part of a professional team, supporting students with SEMH

Be willing to build relationships with learners and understand what is behind the behaviour

Be creative, flexible and have an active interest in working with ESBD students

Able to work as part of a team and support the ethos of a school

Desirable:

Have experience working in PRU's, SEMH Schools, Care Homes or Residential Homes
