Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Joiner to join our team on a self employed basis. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in joinery and the ability to work with various materials and tools. This role involves assembling, fabricating, and installing structures and fixtures made from wood, plywood, and other materials. The Joiner will be responsible for ensuring high-quality workmanship while adhering to safety standards.

Duties

Assemble and install wooden structures such as doors, windows, and furniture. Fabricate custom joinery items according to specifications. Plumb and level installations to ensure accuracy. Perform painting and finishing tasks on completed projects. Use hand tools and power tools effectively for various tasks. Carry out masonry work as required for specific projects. Lift heavy materials safely and efficiently during the construction process. Collaborate with other tradespeople to complete projects on time.

Requirements

Proven experience in joinery or a related field is essential. Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools safely and effectively. Ability to perform heavy lifting as required by the job. Strong understanding of construction techniques, including roofing and masonry. Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to quality workmanship. Good communication skills and the ability to work well within a team environment. A valid driver's licence is preferred but not essential.
