Job Role:

Here at Six Contract Furniture, we are seeking a skilled and dependable Bench Joiner to join our growing team. This is a workshop-based position focused on manufacturing bespoke, high-quality joinery for a variety of projects, with occasional travel to site locations for fitting and installation.

Key Responsibilities

Manufacture custom joinery items from detailed technical and construction drawings Cut, shape, and assemble wood and timber-based products to precise specifications Carry out site installations as required, ensuring quality and professionalism Safely operate a wide variety of hand and power tools, as well as workshop machinery Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment Collaborate with colleagues to meet project deadlines and client expectations Follow health and safety procedures at all times

Essential Requirements

Minimum 3 years' experience in bench joinery or related field Strong ability to interpret detailed drawings and specifications Proven track record of producing high-quality bespoke joinery Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, and woodworking machinery Knowledge of various timber types and their appropriate applications Current CSCS card Over 25 years old (to meet insurance requirements for driving company vehicles) Willingness to travel for on-site installation when needed Excellent attention to detail and commitment to delivering a flawless finish Reliable, self-motivated, and able to work both independently and as part of a team Positive attitude and good communication skills
