Hourly Rate:

14.20 - 14.70 per hour (Dependent on experience)

Hours:

7.00am to 3.30pm with a 30-minute unpaid lunch break (Shifts can vary)

Cordek are an established market leader in the design, manufacture, and supply of high-performance products to several niche areas in the Construction sector, having worked on iconic skyscrapers in the UK and supplied products for use in the construction of hospitals, leisure centres, houses, windfarms and films sets.

Job Summary:


You will assist in the manufacture, finishing, movement, packaging, and loading of bespoke products in our specialist production department. This role involves using a wide range of materials and techniques to achieve top-quality finishes and ensuring products meet client specifications.

Key Responsibilities:



Operate and maintain a range of machinery, including CNC hot wire contour cutting equipment, sanding machines. Apply various finishes to EPS products, including ABS and Correx plastic skins, fiberglass, Epoxy paste and PU spray products. Perform sanding and hand finishing tasks to achieve precise edges and finishes within specified tolerances. Construct wooden frames using hand saws, planners, jigsaws, disk saws, table saws, and wall saws. Work with model board, composites, and rubber products. Program machine cutting paths and speeds for efficient production with minimal waste. Perform quality checks to ensure finished products meet dimensional and quality standards. Document and report any defects or deviations from quality standards promptly. Work closely with the production team to meet productivity targets and customer delivery deadlines. Adhere to all health and safety regulations within the production environment. Maintain a clean and organized workspace to prevent accidents and ensure efficient operation. Report any safety hazards or incidents to the appropriate personnel immediately. Ensure resources are used efficiently in line with LEAN principles. Initiate continuous improvement initiatives to solve problems and enhance production

Personal specification:



To display high standards and good written and verbal communications skills An ability to work well under pressure and to prioritise work to meet deadlines Good level of numeracy and literacy is required for this role

Qualifications and experience:



Knowledge of health and safety regulations would be beneficial Knowledge of CNC machinery preferred Experience using hand tools Forklift licence would be beneficial although full training will be provided Full UK Driving licence
