Overview

We are seeking a friendly and efficient Cashier to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing excellent customer service, processing transactions accurately, and maintaining a clean and organised checkout area. This role requires strong communication skills and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

Must be available for a shift including Weekends and Evenings.

Responsibilities

Greet customers warmly and provide assistance as needed. Process sales transactions quickly and accurately using the till. Handle cash, credit, and debit transactions while ensuring accuracy in all financial exchanges. Maintain an organised checkout area, ensuring it is clean and well-stocked with necessary supplies. Upsell products where appropriate to enhance customer experience and increase sales. Address customer inquiries and resolve any issues in a professional manner. Assist with merchandising tasks, including restocking shelves and arranging displays as needed.

Skills

Excellent communication skills in English; proficiency in Spanish or other languages is a plus (bilingual or multilingual candidates preferred). Strong basic math skills for handling transactions accurately. Exceptional time management skills to handle peak hours efficiently. Good phone etiquette for handling customer calls when necessary. Strong organisational skills to maintain an orderly workspace and manage multiple tasks effectively. Experience in upselling techniques to enhance customer engagement.
