Oversee administration, finance, and reporting, liaising with NHLI and institutional partners to ensure compliance with Imperial and BHF requirements.
Coordinate internal and external communications, including high-profile events (Annual Symposium, workshops, and interdisciplinary seminars) and support funding initiatives and strategic planning.
What we are looking for
---------------------------
A PhD in a STEM discipline, with a strong track record of problem-solving and independent working.
Highly self-motivated, proactive, and resourceful, with proven ability to anticipate challenges, manage competing priorities, and deliver results to deadlines.
Strong financial management and analytical skills to support budgeting, forecasting, and evidence-based strategic decisions.
Experience (or willingness to develop expertise) in research administration, complex project management, and working at a strategic level with academic research collaborations, research funders, and/or industry partners.
Excellent interpersonal, communication, influencing, and negotiation skills, with the tact and diplomacy to manage relationships across a large, multi-disciplinary research network.
A high level of organisation, meticulous attention to detail, and a commitment to continuous improvement.
Ability to work independently while coordinating multiple stakeholders; flexible and adaptable in a changing environment.
A genuine interest in enabling cutting-edge research and translating discoveries for patient benefit.
What we can offer you

A pivotal role in a flagship, interdisciplinary research hub at one of the world's leading universities.
Direct collaboration with world-class academics and exposure to cutting-edge technologies (AI, imaging, multi-omics) shaping the future of cardiovascular science.
Involvement in strategic planning, budgeting, and research development, offering a clear pathway to future leadership roles.
A collaborative culture that fosters innovation, professional growth, and cross-disciplinary networking.
