BI Developer



Location: Canary Wharf - London, Hybrid working (min 2 days in the office)

Contract: Full Time, 40 hours per week, permanent

Salary Range: 45,000 - 55,000 dependent on experience

Job Summary



As we continue to grow, we are seeking a creative and technically skilled BI Developer to join our UK team.

This role combines technical Power BI expertise with strong visual design and UI/UX skills. You will work across the full Power BI lifecycle, from data modelling and DAX calculations to report design and visualisation, delivering clear, actionable insights to business stakeholders. While SQL knowledge is a plus, your primary focus will be Power BI, building efficient, well-structured models and dashboards that balance accuracy, usability, and visual appeal.

You will support new client implementations and enhancements to existing solutions, working with data from cloud SaaS APIs stored in SQL databases or Databricks, and contributing to analysis, modelling, and dashboard delivery. You will work closely with colleagues across the team, including remote team members, to ensure seamless collaboration and knowledge sharing.

Key Responsibilities



Design, develop, and maintain high-quality, user-focused Power BI dashboards and reports Build and optimise data models using DAX and Power Query (M) for performance and reusability Apply UI/UX principles and visual design best practices to ensure dashboards are intuitive and engaging Translate business requirements into actionable reports and visual narratives Validate and QA reports for accuracy, consistency, and reliability Collaborate with analysts, developers, and stakeholders to deliver effective BI solutions, working well within a team that includes remote colleagues Keep up to date with Power BI features, visualisation techniques, and design trends Troubleshoot Power BI solutions and provide practical support to the team

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Experience



Hands-on Power BI development experience Advanced proficiency in DAX and Power Query (M) Proven ability to create visually engaging, user-friendly dashboards with strong attention to UI/UX Understanding of data modelling concepts Strong ability to translate business requirements into actionable reports and dashboards High attention to detail in both visual design and metric accuracy Excellent communication and collaboration skills for working with technical and non-technical stakeholders Proactive problem-solving skills and experience troubleshooting Power BI solutions

Preferred/Nice to Have



Working knowledge of SQL for data validation or querying Exposure to Databricks, Microsoft Fabric, or similar data platforms Experience with Power BI integrations such as Power Apps or Power Automate
