Work Pattern - Once per quarter in the office.
Full training on Azure available

The Role

We are just kicking off the search for a BI Developer for a long-standing client who we have placed many developers with over the last 7 years. These roles are exclusively available through Oscar Technology.

They operate a very flexible working policy; their office is in the North West but they have said that employees have to visit the office a minimum of once per quarter. Obviously more time in the office is perfectly fine but as a minimum it would be once every 3 months. Alongside this they have very flexible working hours. You can pick the hours you work! If you want a longer lunch, or an earlier start, that is fine! As long as you work the correct amount of hours you can chose how your day is structured.

The Company

This long-established company are going from strength to strength with further expansion and aggressive growth planned. They had an amazing financial performance through the pandemic and have been going from strength to strength since. They are a large company, with a wide-ranging suite of products and services. Due to acquisition and growth, they are the absolute leader in their field.

The BI Team is split into two parts. The large team, where this role sits focus on Data Warehouse Development, migrations, data models and managing their data systems. The 2nd team focus on day-to-day MI reporting.

They are an MS BI Technology Stack business; Azure hosted and use PowerBI / Dax for reporting and Data Modelling. We are looking for skills in this field. Azure is certainly not and essential for this role, but you will be using it and they will provide full training.

Responsibilities

• Finalise implementation of new data warehouse and support all data migrations.
• Data Modelling - build and execute new Data Models.
• Further development of their Cloud Data Warehouse solution.
• Delivery of operational reporting projects end-to-end in line with business needs
• To manage, and deliver incremental enhancements to, our MI databases and ETL processes.
• To support the architecture function with the definition of technical standards and designs for delivering MI.
• Development of scalable and robust data pipelines and ETL procedures.
• Design and implement multi-dimensional models, including the development of Data Views, Dimensions and Cubes
• Design and implement reporting solutions including BI Dashboards, Reporting Cubes and Static Reports
• Creation of reporting structures that standardise the calculation of key metrics and indicators.
• To review the code of other developers who are engaged on MI projects.

Requirements

• SSIS / ETL
• PowerBI / DAX ideally but other reporting tools are fine
• Bonus - Azure
