A new opportunity has arisen for an experienced Bid Manager to join our growing Business Development & Research team at our Head Office in London. The Bid Manager will take the lead in managing and coordinating all competitive tendering activities across Infrastructures, which is a fast growing part of our business.

The Infrastructures department has grown significantly since its formation and is advising on some of the UK\xe2\x80\x99s largest projects within the transport, energy, utilities, telecoms, regeneration and minerals and waste sectors. Key service lines include land referencing and GeoSpatial / Mapping, land assembly, CPO & compensation, planning & consenting, development consultancy, property management, valuation and agency.

Main tasks:

  • Tracking the pipeline of future opportunities using external data sources to identify forthcoming tender opportunities
  • Management and co-ordination of tender responses for the Infrastructures team with input into multi-divisional tenders, sometimes leading where the Infrastructures department is the key contributor. This includes monitoring of opportunities together with reporting on success rates and obtaining tender feedback from clients/prospects.
  • Maintaining a database of standard question responses and updating the same based on feedback from submissions.
  • Analysing feedback and presenting the same to key stakeholders within the business.
  • Working with our sub-consultant supply chain to fill gaps in service provision for multi-disciplinary bids and ensure reciprocal relationships are in place
  • Undertaking post-instruction client de-briefs where appropriate.
  • Liaison with divisional co-ordinator to ensure client contact data is accurate and up-to-date using in-house CRM system, Connect (Microsoft Dynamics).
  • Additional projects \xe2\x80\x93 Opportunity to assist in firm wide or regional projects.
What does it take to be successful?

You will have gained a degree qualification (or equivalent) with ideally additional professional marketing/business certificates. You will have a strong understanding of the commercial real estate sector including market trends and will be wanting to develop your knowledge further. Previous real estate sector experience is preferred, though not essential. The role requires relevant bid management experience including bid writing and project management. You will have excellent communication skills with a high level of attention to detail and client focus. You will also be a team player, working across the Business Development team to support and motivate when needed.
