What you'll be doing::
We're looking for a Bid Manager to support our sales team and company growth. You'll deliver outstanding bids that maximise our likelihood on winning new business through a continuous improvement process, gaining iomart-wide commitment, and mastering our deal governance.
You'll also:
Collaborate with the sales and relevant cross functional teams to prepare well structured, winning bids
Manage the bid strategy from receipt, through qualification and assessment, to bid completion and submission, contract award, and handover to the delivery teams
Support the sales team by identifying and qualifying public sector Frameworks suitable for the business
Support the sales team through the governance process to ensure we're working on the right bids at the right time
Assess customer requirements/documents to determine bid strategy and win themes
Manage win and loss reviews post contract award and feedback to the wider business to drive continuous improvement
Liaise with a variety of internal stakeholders, external consultants, vendors and sub-contractors to ensure the successful preparation of bids, including the compilation of technical, commercial and pricing information
Ensure all bids meet regulatory and legal requirements
Ensure bids are completed in line with best practice, including lessons learnt
Co-ordinate regular continuous improvement meetings with other departments such as sales, technical, commercial and legal to improve processes, content, and ultimately increase our win rate
Maintain the bid library to improve our efficiency for future bids
We want to hear from you if you::
Have a proven track record in delivering public and private sector bids within an IT services business
Are APMP Foundation Certified (or higher)
Have experience of sales techniques such as MEDDPICC, Challenger Sales or Solution Selling
Have an understanding of technical concepts and tender questions
Are an excellent communicator with the ability to assertively influence to get results
Are detail orientated with the ability to manage multiple bids within given deadlines
Are a proven self-starter and able to work effectively and independently where required
Understand and apply bid best practice whilst you work with your bid team
