We are a national Roofing contractor with our head office in Manchester, We are seeking a highly organised and proactive Bid Manager to oversee the end-to-end process of tendering and proposal submissions mainly for local authority Tenders. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in securing new business opportunities by managing bid development, coordinating cross-functional teams, and ensuring all submissions meet client requirements and deadlines. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with strong project management skills and experience in sales or business development.
Duties
Lead the preparation and submission of bids, proposals, and tenders in response to client requests.
Coordinate with sales, technical, legal, and finance teams to gather necessary information and ensure bid accuracy.
Develop comprehensive bid strategies that align with organisational objectives and client expectations.
Utilise software to track opportunities, manage client data, and monitor bid progress.
Analyse client requirements and tailor proposals to meet specific needs effectively.
Maintain a centralised repository of bid documentation and ensure compliance with organisational standards.
Monitor industry trends and competitor activities to inform bid strategies.
Conduct post-bid reviews to identify areas for improvement and optimise future submissions.
Requirements
Proven experience as a Bid Manager or in a similar role within a sales or business development environment.
Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple bids simultaneously under tight deadlines.
Proficiency in Microsoft 365
Familiarity with CRM software systems to streamline bid processes and maintain accurate records.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
Analytical mindset with attention to detail to ensure high-quality bid submissions.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
