We are seeking an experienced Bid Writer with a proven track record in the UK tendering environment, with a strong understanding of the social housing sector. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in securing new business opportunities by producing high-quality, persuasive, and compliant tender submissions. Understanding or experience of the Passive and/or Active Fire industry would be beneficial. Demonstrative experience in a similar role is essential.

Key Responsibilities:



Lead the writing, editing, and coordination of bids, proposals, and pre-qualification questionnaires (PQQs) for public and private sector opportunities. Analyse tender documents and client requirements, ensuring full compliance with submission criteria. Develop compelling, tailored content that highlights our organisation's value proposition, experience, and solutions within social housing. Work closely with operational teams, Business Development & Bid team, our existing Bid Writer & Directors, to gather technical information and case studies. Manage bid timelines, ensuring submissions are completed to the highest standard and within deadlines. Contribute to bid strategy, win themes, and value propositions that differentiate us in the market. Maintain a library of bid content, templates, and supporting materials for future use. Track and report on bid success rates, providing recommendations for continuous improvement. Consider social value requirements and identify necessary measures to meet such requirements.

Essential Requirements:



Minimum 5 years' experience as a Bid Writer or similar role in the UK, producing bids either directly within the social housing sector or on behalf of contractors delivering services to housing associations, local authorities, or related sectors. Demonstrable knowledge of the social housing tendering process and relevant procurement frameworks. Excellent writing, editing, and communication skills with strong attention to detail. Proven ability to translate technical information into clear, engaging content. Strong project management and organisational skills, able to work under pressure and to tight deadlines. Familiarity with procurement portals (e.g. ProContract, Delta, or similar). Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively across departments. An eagerness to join and contribute to a growing SME

Desirable Requirements:



APMP or equivalent bid management qualification, or a commitment to working towards it/plans to undertake study. Knowledge of public sector procurement regulations (PCR 2015) Understanding of Passive and/or Active Fire industry is preferred
