The Role




We're looking for a creative and detail-driven

Bid Writer

to join our Contracts team. Reporting to the Project Director and Managing Director, you'll be responsible for managing and producing high-quality written submissions for tenders that reflect the Maris brand. This role suits someone with strong writing ability, excellent organisation and an eye for design.

What You'll Be Doing




? Managing the full bid process from opportunity identification to submission


Writing, editing, and proofreading engaging and persuasive bid content


Working closely with Design, Operations, and Commercial teams to gather project information


Developing and maintaining a central library of case studies and standard responses


Ensuring all submissions are accurate, compliant, and visually on-brand


Researching client requirements, scoring criteria, and feedback to improve bid quality and consistency


Supporting the creation of marketing and client-facing materials when required

? Meeting tight deadlines and maintaining consistent quality across all submissions

What We're Looking For




? Excellent writing, editing and proofreading skills with strong attention to detail


? Minimum of three years' experience in bid writing, coordination or graphic design, ideally within construction


? Confident using InDesign, Microsoft Office, and Adobe Creative Suite


? Degree-level education in English, Communications, or a related subject


? Strong organisational and time management skills, able to manage multiple bids


? Creative, proactive, and able to work both independently and collaboratively
