Working within our busy pre-construction team, the successful candidate will play a key part in the acquisition of new contracts and opportunities for Classic Builders' three regional offices. As the Bid Writer you will be working closely with Estimating Manager and the Pre-Construction team to assist in providing tender submissions.
Location
Classic Builders' Plymouth office. Home working is permitted on an 'as needed' basis.
Bid Writer Responsibilities
Participate in internal enquiry meetings.
Assess and interpret quality criteria requirements for competitive bid submissions.
Complete and return pre-qualification questionnaire forms.
Collaborate with Commercial and Construction Teams to produce quality question responses by reading, absorbing and editing information provided to you by other team members to formulate a high quality response to the questions, including correcting spelling, grammar and editing formats.
Updating CV's
Managing Standard Answer Database (regularly updated to suit)
Completing PQQ's SSQ's EOI's
Desirables & Requirements
In no particular order -
High-level English (at least GCSE but preferable also A-level and above)
IT Skills & Knowledge - particularly Word, Excel, Powerpoint - Adobe illustrator and In design preferable
Excellent writing skills
Ability to work to tight deadlines in a fast paced environment
Able to work well under pressure
Excellent communication skills
Understanding of construction would be advantageous
