The ideal candidate will be proficient in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining all types of bicycles, including electric bikes (e-bikes). Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential, as the role involves regular interaction with customers for service intake, recommendations, and after-sales support.
Key Responsibilities:1. General Bicycle Repairs & Maintenance
Diagnose and repair mechanical issues on a variety of bikes (road, mountain, hybrid, BMX, etc.)
Adjust, replace, and repair:
Brakes (rim, disc, hydraulic)
Gears and derailleurs
Chains, cassettes, cranks, and bottom brackets
Headsets, handlebars, and stems
Wheels (truing, spoke replacement, hub servicing)
Tires and inner tubes
Saddles, seat posts, and pedals
Assemble new bicycles and perform safety checks
2. Electric Bike Repair & Maintenance
Diagnose and repair e-bike systems, including:
Motors (hub and mid-drive)
Battery testing, removal, and installation
Electronic controllers and wiring
Perform routine maintenance specific to electric bikes, including charging systems and safety checks
3. Customer Service & Sales Support
Greet and assist customers with bike issues, service intake, and repair estimates
Explain repair needs and costs clearly and professionally
Provide advice on bike maintenance, accessories, and upgrades
Maintain customer service records and repair logs
Support sales team by preparing bikes for display or test rides
4. Workshop & Inventory Management
Maintain a clean and organized workshop
Follow safety standards and best practices
Track parts and tools inventory; report low stock levels
Ensure proper use and maintenance of tools and diagnostic equipment
