Based in East Yorkshire, CICD (College for International Co-operation and Development) prepares volunteers for
immersive placements tackling poverty, climate change, and inequality
. Programmes include 7- and 10-month volunteer opportunities in partnership with Humana People to People, a Climate Activist course in the Caribbean, and the Gaia Scholarship, which helps cover course fees.
As
Recruitment & Social Media Officer
, you'll be the link between prospective volunteers and their future journeys, running CICD's social media channels and supporting individuals through the full enrolment process. You'll need to be confident engaging with people online and over Zoom, comfortable juggling priorities, and genuinely motivated by CICD's mission and values.
We're looking for someone proactive, people-focused and digitally confident, with fluency in either Portuguese, Spanish or Italian. Many of our volunteers come from across Europe and Latin America, so you'll play a key role in engaging with them online, guiding them through the process and making them feel supported from the outset. If you're creative, curious, and motivated by purpose over profit, you'll feel right at home here.

Fluency in either Portuguese, Spanish, or Italian, in addition to English (essential)
Confidence running social media channels (Meta, Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn)
A friendly, proactive approach to helping people through the recruitment process
The ability to host engaging online meetings and info sessions
Experience coordinating enquiries and managing admin tasks end-to-end
Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow processes accurately
Great collaboration skills and a willingness to share ideas and learn as you go
A genuine interest in climate action, global development and social justice
A full driving licence
and access to a vehicle (essential due to workplace location).
