The opportunity has arisen to join an industry leader in UK's Building Services providers. We design, develop and deliver a wide range of offsite-prefabricated, innovative and sustainable building service solutions throughout the UK & Europe.

Alternative Heat specialises in the design, supply and installation of a wide range of Pre-Fabricated energy solutions, typically built in NI and shipped throughout the UK & Europe. We also offer turnkey design, build & operate solutions for commercial energy centers and large-scale district heating solutions and have experience with successfully procuring and delivering many similar packages to a wide range of public body's throughout UK & Europe.



Are you a Bill of Materials Manager/Lead looking to work for a rapidly expanding company where you will play a key role in the continuous improvement and ongoing success of the business?

In this role, you will be responsible for the managing of Bill of Materials for various products. You will work closely with engineering, manufacturing and supply chain teams to ensure BOM's are accurate, up-to-date, and complete. This role requires attention to detail, organisational skills, and a solid understanding of manufacturing processes.



Job Title | Bill of Materials (BOM) Manager



Location | Mallusk, Belfast



Hours | Monday - Thursday 8am - 5pm, Friday 8am - 3pm



Salary | Competitive depending on experience



Responsible to | Production Manager



Key Responsibilities





Own, manage and maintain BOM's for modular building components and systems used in off-site construction. Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and supply chain teams to ensure BOM accuracy. Ensure BOM's are complete with all necessary components and materials listed. Translate design specifications and digital models (e.g. REVIT BIM) into structured, production ready BOM's. Manage BOM changes and updates through an established change control process. Work with supply chain to verify component availability and specifications affecting manufacturing. Analyse BOM data to identify cost saving opportunities and process improvements. Facilitate the standardisation of components and modular kit of parts across multiple projects. Ensure BOM's comply with industry standards and company policies. Train members on BOM processes and best practices. Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, lean manufacturing workflows and digital design to fabrication processes. Develop strong working relationships with the departmental leads to enhance collaboration and efficiency. Carry out any other reasonable tasks to support business objectives.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise



Essential Criteria

Excellent problem-solving skills and analytical skills with the ability to identify and resolve issues. Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross functional teams and stakeholders. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Ability to read and interrogate engineering drawings and specifications, including geometric dimension and Digital Models (e.g. REVIT BIM) Excellent attention to detail, self-motivated, open to change and experience as a lead, ability to mentor. Excellent reporting skills and previous experience with KPI's.
