Billing Coordinator
to join our busy billing team.
The Role:
As a Billing Coordinator, you will be working closely with the Billing Manager to support the billing team in a variety of key administrative and billing tasks. This is an excellent opportunity for a candidate who is looking to gain valuable experience in a billing environment within a corporate setting.
Key Responsibilities:
Checking and approving bills prepared by external Cost Drafters for Legal Aid submission and payment
Preparing Fixed Fee bills for submission and payment
Preparing Legal Help Claims and overseeing monthly contract submission of LH claims.
Posting of bills on internal Case Management System and resolving ledger balances and queries.
General billing tasks including but not limited to, collation of documents for bill submissions and liaising with external Counsel chambers, experts, and Courts to obtain fee notes, invoices, and court orders.
Monitoring and Reporting:
Monitor and review internal spreadsheets, reports, and CCMS for case notifications, ensuring timely and accurate updates.
Resolving Queries:
Help resolve billing and posting queries as they arise, providing clear communication and solutions.
General Billing Duties:
Perform any other ad hoc duties required by the billing team.
Processes/Systems:
Receive training on case management software and ensure efficient use of Outlook and Teams for managing communications.
Legal Aid Portal (CCMS):
You will be trained on the LAA Portal (CCMS).
Provide evidence for disbursement claims via the Legal Aid Portal.

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
with an attention to detail and a methodical approach to tasks.
Strong
communication skills
