Overview

We are seeking a skilled and experienced BIM Manager to lead our Building Information Modeling (BIM) initiatives. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in architectural and engineering design, with expertise in various software applications. This role is crucial for ensuring the successful integration of BIM processes into our projects, enhancing collaboration, efficiency, and project outcomes.

Responsibilities

Oversee the development and implementation of BIM standards and protocols across projects. Collaborate with architects, engineers, and construction teams to ensure effective use of BIM technologies. Manage the creation of 3D models using software such as Revit, AutoCAD, and Civil 3D. Conduct clash detection using NavisWorks to identify and resolve design conflicts before construction. Provide training and support to team members on BIM tools including SketchUp, MicroStation, SolidWorks, and CAD applications. Develop detailed schematics and drafting documentation for mechanical design projects. Ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices in BIM processes. Facilitate communication among project stakeholders to promote a collaborative working environment.

Experience

Proven experience in a BIM management role within the construction or engineering industry. Proficiency in BIM software tools such as Revit, NavisWorks, AutoCAD, SketchUp, Civil 3D, MicroStation, SolidWorks, and CAD applications. Strong understanding of mechanical design principles and drafting techniques. Familiarity with 2D animation concepts as they relate to project presentations is a plus. Excellent communication skills with the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail are essential for success in this role.
