BMH Tutors is a well established tutoring company in Birmingham and has been in business for many years. We provide tutoring for 11+ exam preparations, and Maths, Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English upto A Levels. We have upgraded our facility for A Levels Business, Geography and Computer Science clients also.

Job Title: Biology and Chemistry Tutor (GCSE & A-Level)

We are looking for a

dedicated and experienced Science Tutor

to support students preparing for

GCSE and A-Level exams in Biology and Chemistry.

The ideal candidate must have

strong subject knowledge and a passion for helping students excel academically

. You will be responsible for delivering engaging lessons to individual/small groups of students, adapting teaching methods to suit individual learning styles, and ensuring students gain confidence and mastery in their subjects.

Key Responsibilities:

Plan and deliver

structured and engaging

science lessons tailored to GCSE and A-Level curricula. Provide

clear explanations of complex concepts

, focusing on exam techniques and problem-solving skills. Assess students' progress through

regular testing, feedback, and performance tracking

. Adapt lessons to cater to different learning needs, including students aiming for top grades and those needing extra support. Help students develop

effective revision strategies and exam techniques

to maximize their potential. Stay updated with curriculum changes and

exam board requirements

(AQA, Edexcel, OCR, etc.). Offer

constructive feedback and progress reports

to students and, if applicable, their parents/guardians.

Requirements:

A

degree in a relevant science field

(Biology, Chemistry or a related discipline).

Proven experience

in teaching/tutoring GCSE and A-Level Science subjects. Strong understanding of

exam board specifications

and mark schemes. Excellent

communication and interpersonal skills

to engage students effectively. Ability to

motivate and build confidence

in students.

OptionalA

teaching qualification (PGCE, QTS) or tutoring certification

is desirable.
