The Blending Manager is responsible for leading day to day blending operations at Medik8, ensuring safe, efficient, and compliant production of all bulk formulations. These consist of a wide range of emulsions containing high efficacy active ingredients. This role manages all Blending Team Leaders and their teams across shifts, and is accountable for meeting daily production targets while maintaining high standards of GMP, safety, and product quality.


The Blending Manager plays a key role in ensuring operational readiness, staffing, scheduling, and adherence to documentation. Working closely with the Blending Process Manager, this role helps embed consistent, standardised ways of working and supports continuous improvement across the blending function.

Responsibilities:



Lead, manage, and develop all members of the Blending Team including but not limited to Team leaders, operatives and compliance Ensure blending operations meet the daily production plan and output targets Maintain full compliance with health and safety GMP, FDA, TGA, and quality standards Proactively lead safety culture to ensure our safety mission: 'For everyone to go home in as good a condition as they came to work in, if not better'. Oversee equipment readiness, material availability, and execution of batch processes Monitor team performance and drive accountability through clear KPIs Ensure accurate completion of batch records and strict adherence to SOPs and work

Track, order and maintain stock of blending consumables Respond quickly to operational issues, working cross-functionally with Planning, Production, Quality, and Engineering Drive a culture of right first time execution, ownership, and continuous improvement Contribute to resource planning, shift scheduling, and effective team handovers Support team development, training, and onboarding in collaboration with the Blending

Process Manager

Work closely to the Blending Process Manager to drive a culture of continuous improvement throughout the team, carrying out continuous reviews of processes and procedures Participate in investigations, audits, and root cause analysis related to blending

Requirements:



Extensive experience managing blending or production teams within a GMP-regulated

environment

Strong leadership skills with proven ability to manage teams across shifts or departments Excellent understanding of blending processes, equipment, and documentation standards Confident interpreting and enforcing SOPs, batch records, and compliance protocols Skilled in managing production KPIs, performance tracking, and continuous improvement High attention to safety, quality, and detail in a fast-paced manufacturing environment Strong communicator and effective cross-functional collaborator Familiarity with deviation investigations and audit processes Exposure to lean manufacturing, 5S, or similar tools
