Custom Group Ltd are celebrating our 50th year trading supplying blinds, curtains, AV and Drama equipment largely to educational premises, new construction buildings and public sector establishments across the UK.

With over 50 employees, we are one of the largest curtain and blind suppliers in the UK. We survey, manufacture and install thousands of bespoke projects every year.

We are currently seeking an installation engineer to work within our Commercial Blinds and Curtains Team. Working with an assistant, the successful applicant will be required to professionally install commercial blinds, tracks and curtains within schools, hospitals, universities, offices, public buildings, accommodation blocks etc across the country. Although previous experience within the blind or curtain industry is preferable, we welcome applicants who have experience in site maintenance, joinery or a general installation background with hands on experience of operating cordless tools and a knowledge of fixing methods.

Who this role may suit:-

An existing blind/curtain installer looking for a new role

A handyman/maintenance type person with good practical skills

An internal factory operative or joiner who does a practical/assembly type job and is looking for an external field based role

What you'll need:-

GCSE grades C (4) or above in English Language and Maths

Good practical skills, including experience of using power tools and different fixings

Good communication skills

Flexibility with your working hours Monday to Friday, along with the ability to stay overnight (average 1-2 nights per week). No weekend work.

Full Driving Licence

Attractive hourly rate with overtime paid at 1.5x standard rate. Expected pay between 27000 to 35000 (including overtime) 28 days holiday per annum, rising to 34 days with length of service Quarterly bonus for full attendance Company van, mobile phone, iPad and other equipment Fully subsidised expenses Excellent potential for development into other roles within the business
