Overview:
We are currently seeking Blockyard Operative to join our team at Glenwherry Quarry.
As a Blockyard Operative you will be supporting the production of concrete blocks in the Blockyard to Company standards.
More about what you will do...
To work under the supervison of the yard supervisor producing concrete blocks
To operate the block mix plant, block production plant, block strapping plant and 8 tonne forklift
To load lorries when required and issue dispatch documentation
To carry out regular routine maintenance on all plant and equipment
To carry out daily inspections and checks in line with Company requirements
To maintain a clean and tidy workplace
To comply with all Company H&S procedures
To provide cover at other depots within the group as required
To undertake any other duties reasonably requested
To drive all mobile plant within the quarry when they are not required in the blockyard
What we need from you...
Competency and experience of operating a forklift truck is essential
Previous experience of working in a construction materials manufacturing environment is essential
Ability to work within a team
