Yard Operative - Excellent Opportunity with a Growing Business
We're currently working with a well-established and expanding client in the construction supply sector who is looking to add an experienced Yard Operative to their team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a background in building materials or a similar trade environment who thrives in a busy, customer-facing role.
The Role
As a Yard Operative, you'll play a key role in the day-to-day operations of a busy trade yard. You'll be responsible for:
Receiving, checking, and safely storing incoming stock
Picking and preparing orders for customer collection or delivery
Loading and unloading vehicles quickly and safely
Delivering outstanding customer service to trade and retail visitors
Maintaining accurate stock records and ensuring the yard remains clean and organised
Ideal Candidate
We're looking for someone who can hit the ground running, with:
A valid Forklift Licence (essential)
A full UK Driving Licence (essential)
Previous experience with building materials or trade products
Confidence and professionalism when dealing with customers
Prior experience in a yard, warehouse, or trade counter environment
A strong work ethic, team spirit, and attention to detail
Working Pattern
Week 1: Monday to Friday - 07:30 to 17:00
Week 2: Monday to Friday - 07:30 to 17:00
+ Saturday: 08:00 to 12:00
