Job Overview


We are seeking a skilled BMS electrical engineer draughtsman to join our engineering team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, drawing, production wiring schematics, as built and installation diagrams, troubleshooting, and maintaining control panels utilised in various industrial applications. This role offers an excellent opportunity to work on complex system design projects, utilise advanced software tools, and contribute to innovative automation solutions. The successful applicant will possess strong mechanical knowledge, proficiency in electrical schematics, and experience with programmable logic controllers (PLCs). Responsibilities



Design and develop control panels using CAD software, including AutoCad, SolidWorks and Schematics tools, ensuring compliance with industry standards. Conduct root cause analysis on system faults and implement corrective actions efficiently. Utilise GD&T principles to interpret technical drawings and specifications accurately. Collaborate with mechanical engineers to incorporate mechanical components into electrical control systems. Test control panels thoroughly before deployment, ensuring all components meet safety and performance standards. Maintain detailed documentation of system configurations, modifications, and troubleshooting procedures.

Requirements



Proficiency in CAD software such as AutoCad, DTM, SolidWorks and general schematics reading skills. Strong Electrical // mechanical knowledge combined with electrical understanding to facilitate integrated control panel design. Ability to perform root cause analysis effectively to resolve technical issues swiftly. Knowledge of GD&T standards for precise technical drawing interpretation. Experience working with system design principles in automation environments. Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
