Locations:

Bangor & Rhyl (hybrid meetings available)

Role:

Trustee (Safeguarding / Finance / Legal / Fundraising / Marketing)

Commitment:

Voluntary | Expenses reimbursed | Meetings are held every 2 months and Trustees are required to attend a minimum of 4 meetings per annum

About RASASC NW



Established in 1984, RASASC NW is a registered charity providing specialist support and therapy to children (3+) and adults living in North Wales, who have experienced any form of child sexual abuse, sexual abuse/violence and/or rape, whether this has happened recently or in the past.

We also provide specialist support and therapy to partners and family members of those who have been affected by sexual abuse and violence.

With 26 dedicated staff and over 40 sessional workers, we deliver services across North Wales with our main offices in Bangor and Rhyl, ensuring survivors can access compassionate, confidential, and empowering support wherever they live.

The Opportunity



We are seeking to strengthen our

Board of Trustees

by recruiting individuals who have expertise in one or more of the following areas:

Safeguarding

- knowledge of child or adult protection, trauma-informed practice, or risk management

Finance

- charity finance, accounting, or strategic financial oversight

Legal

- governance, charity law, employment, or regulatory compliance

Fundraising

- grant applications, donor relations, or income generation strategy

Marketing & Communications

- brand development, public engagement, digital or media strategy
You do not need previous trustee experience; we welcome applications from people with diverse professional and personal backgrounds who share our commitment to supporting survivors of sexual violence.

Trustee Responsibilities



Attend and contribute to Board meetings (held in person in North Wales and/or online) Provide strategic oversight and support to the charity's leadership team Approving operational strategies and policies, monitoring and evaluating their implementation Reviewing and approving RASASC NW's financial statements Ensuring that RASASC NW applies its resources exclusively in pursuing its objectives Ensuring key risks are identified, monitored and effectively controlled Uphold the charity's values, legal duties, and commitment to safeguarding Contributing to the promotion of RASASC NW's aims, objectives and reputation by applying relevant skills, expertise and knowledge

Sefydlwyd RASASC Gogledd Cymru yn 1984. Mae'n elusen gofrestredig sy'n darparu cymorth a therapi arbenigol i blant (3 oed a h?n) ac oedolion sy'n byw yng Ngogledd Cymru ac sydd wedi profi unrhyw fath o gam-drin rhywiol ar blant, trais a/neu drais rhywiol, p'un a yw hyn wedi digwydd yn ddiweddar neu yn y gorffennol.

Rydym hefyd yn darparu therapi a chymorth arbenigol i bartneriaid ac aelodau o deuluoedd y rhai y mae cam-drin rhywiol a thrais wedi effeithio arnynt.

Gyda 26 o aelodau o staff ymroddedig a dros 40 o weithwyr sesiynol, rydym yn darparu gwasanaethau ledled Gogledd Cymru gyda'n prif swyddfeydd ym Mangor a'r Rhyl, gan sicrhau bod goroeswyr yn gallu cael mynediad at gymorth tosturiol, cyfrinachol a grymusol lle bynnag maen nhw'n byw.
