We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Bodyshop Technician to join our team specialising in lorry and trailer repairs. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical aptitude and be comfortable working with both hand and power tools. This role involves performing various tasks related to equipment maintenance, assembly, and repair, ensuring that all work is carried out to the highest standards of safety and quality.
Duties
Operate and maintain a variety of machinery and equipment within the shop environment.
Perform assembly and disassembly of components as required.
Utilise hand tools and power tools effectively for repairs and maintenance tasks.
Conduct routine inspections of equipment to identify any issues or areas for improvement.
Assist in heavy lifting and moving of materials or equipment as necessary.
Maintain a clean and organised workspace to ensure safety and efficiency.
Collaborate with team members to complete projects in a timely manner while adhering to safety protocols.
Qualifications
5+ years workshop experience
Proven mechanical knowledge, with experience in a similar role being advantageous.
Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.
Ability to perform heavy lifting, with physical stamina for demanding tasks.
Strong attention to detail, ensuring all work meets quality standards.
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
