Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Body Shop Estimator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for assessing vehicle damage, preparing accurate repair estimates, and liaising with customers and insurance companies. This role requires a strong understanding of vehicle repair processes, excellent organisational skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. The ideal applicant will have relevant experience in body shop estimation and possess the necessary skills to deliver exceptional service.

Responsibilities

Conduct thorough inspections of damaged vehicles to assess extent of repairs needed Prepare detailed and accurate repair estimates using specialised software and manual calculations Communicate effectively with customers regarding repair procedures, costs, and timelines Liaise with insurance adjusters to facilitate claims processing Coordinate with technicians and parts departments to ensure timely completion of repairs Maintain comprehensive records of all estimates, repairs, and customer interactions Ensure compliance with safety standards and company policies at all times Assist in prioritising workload to meet deadlines and customer expectations

Skills

Proven experience as a Body Shop Estimator or similar role within an automotive environment Strong mechanical knowledge of vehicle systems and repair techniques Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools for basic assessments when necessary Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail Ability to perform heavy lifting when required, including moving parts or damaged panels safely Good communication skills to liaise effectively with customers, insurance companies, and team members Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining accuracy and professionalism
