WR Hospitality Services is looking for Back of House Team Members / Kitchen Porters to start in Blackburn.

Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Back of House Team Member to join our dynamic culinary team. This role involves supporting food preparation and ensuring the smooth operation of kitchen activities. The ideal candidate will have a passion for culinary arts, a keen eye for food safety, and experience working in a fast-paced restaurant environment. Duties

Assist in food preparation, including chopping, mixing, and assembling ingredients Cook dishes according to specified recipes and standards Maintain the cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area in compliance with food safety regulations Support meal preparation processes to ensure timely service during busy periods Handle basic kitchen tasks such as washing, peeling, and portioning ingredients Ensure all food is stored correctly and labelled appropriately Follow health and safety guidelines at all times to uphold hygiene standards Assist with stock rotation and inventory checks as required Collaborate effectively with front of house staff to ensure seamless service delivery

Experience

Previous experience in a kitchen or restaurant environment is desirable but not essential; training will be provided for suitable candidates Knowledge of food safety standards and procedures is advantageous Experience with food preparation, cooking, or meal assembly is preferred Familiarity with restaurant operations and serving practices is a plus Ability to work efficiently under pressure during peak hours A genuine interest in culinary arts and a willingness to learn new skills
