We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Bookkeeper to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, managing accounts payable, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations. Proficiency using Xero accounting software is essential for this role. The Bookkeeper will play a crucial part in supporting our financial operations and contributing to the overall success of the organisation.
Responsibilities
Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records using accounting software.
Process accounts payable and ensure timely payments to vendors.
Reconcile bank statements and monitor cash flow.
Prepare monthly financial reports and assist with budget preparation.
Ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations and standards.
Assist in the preparation of year-end financial statements and audits.
Collaborate with other departments to provide financial insights and support.
Qualifications
Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar role.
Proficiency in using Xero accounting software.
Strong understanding of accounts payable processes and general accounting principles.
Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines effectively.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
A relevant qualification in accounting or finance is desirable but not essential.
