The North Berwick Golf Club is one of the longest established golf courses in the world and golf has been played over the West Links since the 17th century. A long-standing championship venue, North Berwick has hosted The Open, Final Qualifying and many other prestigious and international Championships. We have over 700 members and welcome 9,000+ visitors each year.
We are looking to recruit an experienced Booking Manager to join our small Team in a fun and flexible working environment.
Role Profile
The primary objective of the Bookings Manager is to ensure that the Tee Time Bookings of the club are managed accurately and efficiently. Support the General Manager with regular bookings reporting as required and offer insights with bookings trends and statistics at the club. Deliver the role in a way that ensures that all responsibilities are fulfilled in the most efficient and customer-focused method possible. The key to the role is always directed to providing the primary customer service objective whilst managing the below responsibilities in such a way that positively affects the Member's Club, experience, perception or visitor experience.
Experience:
The successful candidate will have strong administration experience
Have the ability to work effectively as part of a small, well-knit team whilst also having the ability to efficiently work alone
Have proven written and oral communication skills
An interest in sport, particularly golf, would be beneficial, but not essential
Key responsibilities
Day to day:
Administer advance bookings system
Deal with enquires made for golfers to play the West Links
Ensure the booking are entered into the bookings systems accurately
Manage all correspondence in a timely manager
Process and manage all payments
Manage caddies, catering, hire club and any other ancillary item requests
Week to week:
Manage, maintain and enhance Tour Operator Partnerships
Manage, prepare and set up tee sheets and the appropriate fees on the booking system
Produce weekly Business on the Books reporting
Month to month:
Prepare month end revenue and rounds volume reports
Assist the Finance Team in the preparation of monthly management accounts (Green Fee Figures) for discussion with the General Manager (GM) and Management Committee (MC)
Annually:
Assist in the preparations on the fixture list for the forthcoming year
Identification of ways to improve processes and procedures
Assist in the preparation of detailed annual budgets and revenue reporting
Additional responsibilities:
Provide GM with accurate and comprehensive bookings information and guide effective policy-making and financial strategising
Oversee all bookings controls across the Club
Ensure that all bookings controls are always adhered to
Maintain and update the Club's Bookings Procedures and Policies
Work closely with the Club's Administration Controller and support during absence
To carry out any other reasonable tasks or duties as requested by the General Manager or Head Professional
