The Role



We are seeking a

Bookkeeper / Accounts Officer

to provide temporary cover during a period of staff sickness. You'll play a crucial role in maintaining accurate accounts, supporting cashflow management, and ensuring smooth financial operations across all branches.

Key Responsibilities



Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records Create and process parent invoices, receipts, and payments Manage credit control and direct debit collections Reconcile bank accounts and monitor cash flow Prepare budgets and monthly management reports Oversee purchase ledger and expense processing Support payroll processing with external bureau Liaise with the external accountant for statutory accounts Provide administrative and financial support to the management team

About You



Qualification:

Minimum AAT Level 4 (or equivalent)

Experience:

Previous experience in bookkeeping within childcare, education, or small business environment

Software:

Proficient in QuickBooks Online

Skills:

Excellent attention to detail, communication, and time management

Personality:

Reliable, organised, calm under pressure, and a genuine team player
Job Type: Temporary

Pay: 45,000.00-50,000.00 per year

Work Location: In person
