An exciting opportunity has arisen at Mint Accountants Ltd for a Bookkeeper/Payroll Administrator to join our Accounts Team in Ilkeston.
Mint Accountants offers a range of service lines including Bookkeeping, Payroll, VAT, Management Accounts, Accounts, and Tax.
Both full-time and part-time roles are currently under consideration, with hours flexible to be agreed but anticipated to be 25-30 hours per week. The role is based at the office in Ilkeston, but there will be the possibility of some remote working from home after the first month.
Job responsibilities will include:
Preparation of Bookkeeping and VAT returns.
Reviewing clients' bookkeeping records and reconciling on a variety of systems.
Liaising with clients, acting as a point of contact for enquiries, and encouraging positive relationships.
Some accounts preparation work, preparing accounts to trial balance stage.
Assist the Payroll Manager with processing of a number of clients' monthly and weekly payroll.
Occasional general office and administration work.
Required experience:
Strong bookkeeping and VAT Return preparation experience .
Strong bookkeeping software experience, using a variety of different platforms (ie Xero, QuickBooks, Sage).
A working knowledge of payroll and the PAYE/CIS systems.
