Job Description

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented

Bookkeeper

with experience in retail and eCommerce. The role involves managing day-to-day financial tasks, maintaining accurate records across multiple sales channels, and supporting key accounting processes throughout the year.

Responsibilities

Handle daily bookkeeping tasks including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliations Maintain accurate financial records across retail and eCommerce platforms (e.g., Shopify, Amazon, eBay) Reconcile merchant payouts, refunds, discounts, fees, and chargebacks Process invoices, payments, expenses, and supplier statements Assist in preparing monthly financial reports and supporting the month-end close process Track inventory-related costs, COGS, and stock adjustments Support the preparation of

yearly accounts

and work with external accountants as needed Assist in the preparation and submission of

quarterly VAT returns

Ensure compliance with accounting standards and company procedures

Requirements

Previous experience as a Bookkeeper, preferably in eCommerce or retail Strong understanding of accounting principles Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero) and Excel/Google Sheets Familiarity with eCommerce platforms and payment processors Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills Ability to work independently and meet deadlines

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with inventory systems and multi-channel sales data Understanding of VAT processes and related compliance Experience managing high-volume transaction reconciliations
