Due to expansion we are looking for someone to join our busy accounts team.
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organised Bookkeeper to join our finance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, managing accounts payable, and ensuring the smooth operation of our accounting processes. This role offers an excellent opportunity to utilise your accounting software skills within a supportive and professional environment. The ideal applicant will have experience with various accounting platforms and a strong understanding of bookkeeping principles.
Responsibilities
Maintain and update financial records using accounting software such as Sage.
Manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely processing of invoices and payments
Reconcile bank statements and ledger entries regularly to ensure accuracy
Prepare financial reports and summaries for management review
Assist with payroll processing and other financial administrative tasks
Ensure compliance with organisational policies and relevant financial regulations
Support year-end closing procedures and audit preparations as required.
The submission of VAT returns along with NIC payments to HMRC.
Experience
Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar role within a professional setting
Proficiency in accounting software including Sage.
Strong understanding of accounts payable processes and general ledger management
Experience with financial reporting, reconciliation, and basic payroll administration is preferred
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively
Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record keeping is critical .

Pay: 26,255.56-40,021.47 per year
