Job Description
We are seeking a meticulous and organised Bookkeeper to join a thriving organisation in the leisure, travel & tourism industry. The role involves managing financial transactions and ensuring accurate record-keeping in a permanent position based in Lichfield.
- Maintain and update financial records, including ledgers and journals.
- Process accounts payable and receivable accurately and in a timely manner.
- Reconcile bank statements and ensure all discrepancies are resolved promptly.
- Prepare and submit VAT returns in compliance with regulations.
- Assist in preparing financial reports and statements for management review.
- Monitor budgets and report on variances where necessary.
- Collaborate with the Accounting & Finance team to ensure smooth financial operations.
- Respond to financial queries and provide support during audits.
A successful Bookkeeper should have:
- A recognised qualification in accounting or finance.
- Proficiency in accounting software and MS Excel.
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
- Knowledge of VAT regulations and bookkeeping principles.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Previous experience in the leisure, travel & tourism industry is advantageous.
- Competitive salary of 32,000 PA
